Crafting my way to happiness!

Lets keep it real! Since my return from Onstage New Zealand I haven’t felt the greatest! Ive been battling a viral infection thats been playing havoc with my little heart, leaving me with a constant feeling of lethargy.

Sadly I’ve had to cancel my upcoming classes and my Annual Catalogue Launch has been pushed further and further ahead…..

BUT THERE ARE LOADS OF THINGS I CAN DO!

I can create, I can make a card, I can Blog my little heart out! I can place my customers orders! I can organise my future classes with a little more detail and best of all I can plan the BEST Catalogue Launch EVER.………. all from the comfort of my very own bed!

This is what I LOVE about Stampin’Up! I still feel like I am participating in this game called life and find happiness in doing so!

So lets get back to the Crafting my way to happiness part!!! Anyone that knows me well knows I love a good 3D Project! So when I saw the lovely Susan Wong – Stamping Susan Wong showcasing a Tri-Shutter Memory Keeper I knew I just had to make one too!

I teamed up Susan’s Tutorial with the beautiful Come Sail Away Suite by Stampin’Up! I just love this nautical theme and I thought this project would compliment it perfectly!

I have used our BRAND New Stitched Nested Dies to create the opening flap and tied it off with some of the new Magnolia Ribbon! These Dies are going to be on EVERYONE’S wish list!

I just know that the person receiving it will get such a lovely surprise to see how it unfolds. All it needs now are some photos I have ordered to be printed and a some journalling to finish it off.

Doesn’t this project have such an incredible WOW factor when its unfolded? I love that it expands out to such a large size but then folds down super compact!

Inkspiration Blog Hop

I am really excited to be hopping for the very first time with all of the lovely Inkspiration Crew today.

For those of you who may have missed it, I recently won a Colour Inkspiration Challenge. Because of this I have been given a guest designer spot this month.

I will be sharing with you a beautiful new product suite from the upcoming Annual Catalogue that I just know you are just going to fall in love with!

When the lovely Kelly Kent sent me this picture I absolutely fell in love with the colour palette.

Isn’t the colour combination absolutely gorgeous!

These gorgeous colours inspired me to use the beautiful NEW Bloom & Grow Stamp Set. One of my absolute favourites from the New Annual Catalogue. I teamed it up by creating a window card with our Rectangle Stitched Dies and I am loving how it turned out!

I have coloured the beautiful flowers in the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set with a mixture of Melon Mambo and Berry Burst ink and the help of an aqua painter. For the leaves and the stamen I have used Garden Green & Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends.

As you can see in this image the beautiful stitched detail created by using the Rectangle Stitched Dies. I absolutely love how it finishes off any card or project.

The Magnolia Lane Suite is an absolute show stopper and I know that you are going to love it as much as I do!

This Suite could have gotten a standing ovation at Onstage it was so well received! There were so many Oohs and Ahh’s from all the demonstrators when it was showcased.

Now there is a lovely story about this card I created or I should say co created! ! A gorgeous Demonstrator, Patricia Quintas who I met at Onstage sent me a gorgeous hand made card and the coloured magnolia flower was inside as a gift! Wasn’t that just the sweetest!

I really hope I have done justice to her beautiful work! I teamed her flower up with a Smokey Slate card base then used the coordinating Mossy Meadow for the next base and then matted this beautiful print from Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. I then wrapped the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo around the base and added a circle of sheer Vellum circle to make the flower pop! I couldn’t help but add some of the Magnolia lane Memories & More Card Pack in the form of the additional flower underneath and the fussy cut sentiment! Im sure you can see the shimmer of Wink of Stella….. its not a Cazzy card without it haha!

I love it so much that I want to frame it to decorate my craft room!

Now there is something really special about this suite, no its not the absolutely beautiful images in the stamp sets, nor the stunning papers, ribbons, or the 3D Embossing Folder or the abundance of beautiful embellishments! My favourite part of the entire suite is the DIES!!!

These dies create the most stunning flowers to add to any of your projects! I LOOOOOOOVE them! I know thats a lot of love but once you start making them you won’t want to stop!

Here is a close up of one I created! I added a few extra layers to make it a fully opened Magnolia flower. Isn’t it just so pretty!

Sail Away Suite!

As the mum of four sons you would think I would have loads upon loads of male orientated stamps but quite honestly I only have one! Shocking right!

So when I saw the beautiful Come Sail Away Suite at Onstage I knew I had to add it to my collection. For me there is nothing nicer then going to beach, breathing in that incredible mixture of sea air and sunscreen. Plus you cant beat the feeling of squishing the sand between your toes. If your ever travelling my way make sure you go to Woodgate Beach as its my favourite little getaway spot!

Just looking at the suite in the catalogue makes me feel more relaxed.

The thing I love most about this suite is that its perfect for anyone and any occasion! The sentiments are just gorgeous and are so meaningful! I love all of the beautiful designer series paper and all the embellishments WOW I had to have them all! 

At Auckland Onstage I demonstrated how I used the beautiful ribbon die From the Arts & Crafts Dies to create and ocean scene! I decided to see if I could create a miniature version to compliment this suite! I love that I was able to use a die not for the purpose it was created for!

As you can see in this image I have run the Arts and Craft Die through my cutting machine and I am left with this beautiful wave off cut! This piece layered can create any beach front scene! You can also flip the waves either way just by turning your cardstock over and if you add some texture paint it adds even more dimension!

Bird Ballad Suite!

I am finally feeling well enough to be back in my craft room and I thought I’d share with you what I created!

My PPP or Product Purchase Premiere has been waiting untouched for a few weeks so instead of being overwhelmed as to what I should create with first I decided whichever stamp set was on the top would be the winner!

Fortunately for me it was Free As A Bird! To be totally honest with you, I am not a huge bird fan. Memories of me as a child with a rogue cockateel on top of my head comes to mind. In saying that when I first saw this suite at Auckland Onstage, I had to have it!

There is just something so delicate about the entire suite. It has a vintage feel but with a modern twist.

With five new In colours coming I couldn’t wait to start creating with them! This beautiful shade is called Seaside Spray! Isn’t it just perfect! I know you are going to love them all as they compliment so beautifully with the inks we already have and love!

I love the coordinating dies that go with the suite as there is nothing more charming then a gorgeous stitched outline. The embellishments within the suite are beautiful too. Delicate scalloped stitched lace and little bronzed trinkets featuring flowers, leaves and miniature keys. The key gives it that old world feeling.

Can you tell I love Wink of Stella? I seem to find any excuse to pop it on a card. I just love that light shimmer it creates, its almost like pixie dust!

Why Onstage is so special to me!

One of my beautiful team members asked me why I try and attend each Onstage Event that Stampin’Up! hold. The answer is really simple, it’s the wonderful people I meet and the impact they have on my life.

At each of the Onstage Events I have attended, I have been lucky to have met the most remarkable men and women from every walk of life.

They each have their own story on how or why they joined Stampin’Up! but the incredible thing is we all have the same reason for staying demonstrators and that is we work for a company that promotes loving what we do and sharing what we love! You cant ask for more then that!

In a world that sometimes can be quite unkind being surrounded by over 600 demonstrators who all share this ethos you are left with an incredible feeling of love, support and friendship!

Auckland Onstage Follow Your Art Presentation!

I was incredibly humbled to have been asked to be a Product Spotlight Presenter at the recent Stampin’Up! Onstage Live at Auckland !

Up onstage I shared my own personal story on how creating with and then joining Stampin’Up! helped aid my hearts healing and how I found joy through stamping whilst living with a heart condition!

My wow project– This was my first Stampin’Up! scrapbook page and it was given such a lovely round of ohhs and ahhs! I may have blushed…a lot!

I was so incredibly blessed to have both Shelli and Sara signed my page! its going to be framed and will be given pride of place in my craft room.

Everyone loved these stinking cute mini suitcases!

This gorgeous pencil holder was designed by the amazing Sam Hammond! All credit goes to her for this fabulous design. I loved that I could decorate it with all the gorgeous Arts & Crafts Die in the suite!

This is the Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit! Inside there are 64 pieces for you to add to your creations including felt stitched elements, mini paper clips, linen thread in calypso coral and pacific point and teeny tiny made with love charms! These little elements make such a wow factor on your projects.

You can see I have used the debossed side of the Button Embossing die on the back ground of this card and the embossed side on the punched circle!
