Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Design Team’s September Blog Hop. My name is Cazz Boylan from sunny Queensland, Australia. Around the World on Wednesday has been created by my friend Angie McKenzie. It is such a delight to be hopping each month with these amazingly talented demonstrators from all around the world.
This months Around the World on Wednesday theme is to create two coordinating projects……I made three I was so excited!
I had only received the gorgeous Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set in the mail a few days earlier and it was calling out my name to ink her up and have some fun!
The cards were super simple to create and a great idea if you want to make some en masse! Stamp both of your sunflowers images randomly over your card front with Memento ink. I added a pop of colour using Dark & Light Mango Melody Stampin Blends on one of the sunflowers.
Versamark your sentiment on a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock, add that magic White Stampin Emboss powder and heat until beautiful and glossy. Cut out using your snips and add some looped linen thread to finish them off.
Next I created the tags with two inch strips of Crumb Cake cardstock. Punch your ends with the Scalloped Tag Topper. Stamp your sentiment on the top of each tag with Early Espresso ink and then stamp your small sunflowers onto a scrap of crumb cake cardstock. Colour in with Mango Melody Stampin Blends and the leaves with Old Olive light Stampin Blends and attach to your tag. ( Make sure you are not a ninny like me and use your coordinating Dies to cut these out instead of fussy cutting haha) Add your Faux Suede Ribbon and tie off with you linen thread.
I decided to create a gift card set to hold the cards and tags in! I love 3D projects as they really do make my heart sing!
I teamed up the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set & coordinating Sunflower Dies with the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and Faux Suede Trim. Using the Simply Scored I added three pockets to the inside for the cards, tags and envelopes to sit in neatly. Add some extra gorgeous Sunflowers and you have a beautiful gift for a friend or family member.
