Did you know that March is MS Awareness Month? Most people hear MS but don’t have much of an idea what it is and how it is treated.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition of the central nervous system, interfering with nerve impulses within the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves.
What I didn’t know was that MS affects over 25,600 in Australia and more than two million diagnosed worldwide. Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20-40, but it can affect younger and older people too. Roughly three times as many women have MS as men.
I have two of my wonderful crafters who suffer from MS and a friends mum has this condition. I wanted to make others aware of this silent and untreatable condition.
I created this gorgeous card for MS Awareness Month using Stampin’Up!’s Ribbon of Courage Stamp Set!
Courage means so much to those who have it, and possibly even more to those who need it. I love the adaptable awareness ribbon for a truly courageous message.
